Features of Briggensians.net

We update the site regularly. Visit often! Help us by sending in news, pictures (see below) and reminiscences. If you're organising a local reunion or want to get back in touch with someone, let us know. Use the Contact page (updated December 2007) to - well - contact us.

Please keep sending in photos for the Gallery - we're interested in recent photos of Briggensians and also in pictures from school days. The Gallery has a regularly changing Mystery Photo to challenge you - perhaps you've got one we could use...?

While you're there - marvel at the 1950 whole school photo of BGS!

There's fascinating stuff in the Library. The most recent annual Newsletter (February 2007) and older ones, books and documents about the history of the Brigg schools, memoirs of school days and old BGS magazines from 1914 onwards.

The Board Is Shut Due to Idiot Spammers

The Briggensians Message Board been de-activated . It has been too successful - at attracting spammers and spambots. Every single day between 4 and 12 new memberships arrived - they were not activated of course so they could not post, but they had a Profile, so search engines could see any web links they placed there. I assume that is the point.

I have had enough. The Board is very little used, Rather than spend time every day deleting this rubbish, as I have been for months now, I have shut the Board down.

As far as I can see, there is no way of stopping this nonsense other than closing the Board. If anyone knows lots about phpBBS, and knows otherwise, please contact the web master.
